The legal practitioner is responsible for analyzing and researching legal sources such as laws, court decisions, legal articles and codes to prepare legal documents such as briefs, memoranda, contracts and other legal documents. • Working closely with the Assistant General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel on special projects Maximus offers our employees a unique opportunity to positively impact people through the skills they use every day. Maximus delivers innovative business process management, impactful consulting services and technology solutions that deliver better public outcomes and higher levels of productivity and efficiency of government-sponsored programs. • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment. • Qualified in building commercial and technical visions; disciplined strategic thinking; analytical presentation and problem-solving skills; the ability to obtain internal support; and the ability to establish and maintain a strong working relationship with technical staff, managers and colleagues. • Meet with client to discuss possible issues or additional details required for contract negotiations and/or projects • Ability to successfully perform many complex tasks simultaneously and attention to detail. • Negotiation of consulting contracts, partnership agreements, non-disclosure agreements, subcontracts and personnel agreements • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) as well as required database and reporting software skills.

Or pursue a law degree at an accredited law school. • Translates business requirements into system requirements • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. • Work with suppliers, subcontractors and business partners to discuss implementation requirements.
